I Hate Hype
10 Reasons Why I Don’t Have An Opinion Nor Urge To Write About Something I Do Not Know Or Understand
Why do I Stick To My Expertise And Avoid Giving Opinions About The Things I Do Not Know Or Do Not Understand (Unlike Many Medium “Authors”) or Write a Fiction as I Enjoy Writing
1. I am not The One or The Prophet with the mission to let you onto the right path; there are (tiny, though) chances you can make up your mind and decide for yourself.
2. If you are reading this, you are probably old enough to understand things clearly but do not talk about the things you don’t know or understand as you are probably an adult, paying your taxes, creating, reading, and what intelligent people do (assuming that writers who are misleading about crypto trade, twenty-one years old “investment advisors” are not reading this article); I know that legal age for medium.com is thirteen, but get real; one percent of them (if so many) read.
3. All of us have a constitutional right to have an opinion (more or less, depending on the country or territory).
4. No one of us has a right to press others with their opinion and push them with stuff we do not understand.
5. On the Internet, nobody knows you’re a dog. *reference
6. You might be an expert in something, but you cannot cover any topic in your wildest dream (okay, some people can ;)).
7. I think it is not appropriate for individuals to declare themselves as opinion-makers.
8. Having a mind of your own is something I deeply respect.
However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that I will agree with you. Sorry. I have my brain and billions of neurons in it.
9. I never have an opinion about a physical product as long as I cannot experience it for some time (second-generation silicon-based MacBook Pro is an excellent machine with a beautiful display and keyboard, apparently very fast (I cannot tell, I don’t use processor-intensive applications) with long-lasting battery). I have used it for quite a long time now.
10. I am a mathematician and business analyst with more knowledge about economics, predictive methodologies, and technology trends than 99,99999% of people.
I will not write a single sentence about Apple’s Vision Pro before spending at least six months with it, probably not even then. I have an opinion about AI (unpopular between “AI enthusiasts,” “AI aficionados,” and people who cannot focus on reading enough to understand the difference between language processing and deep learning). I might have one about Vision Pro in the future. Still, you can ask me about heavy alcoholism (and getting out of that circle), math, prediction algorithms, classical music, and other topics. Please do not ask me about the difference between electric vehicles, relationships, or wars around the World.
One more thing, you can also ask me about differences in the nibs on fountain pens.
