It is not too complicated. I bought mine somewhere in 2020.
I sold it six months later when my daughter lost interest in drawing on it and replaced it with a Clairefontaine drawing notebook.
Since then, I filled six or seven Leuchtturms.
Handwriting provides me with generally good backup in my head. And I cannot remember the last time I lost my paper notebook; neither can Remarkable even imitate handwriting with the simplest Lamy on proper paper.
