Lovely article.
Usually, we get bragging with hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Even more, people have yet to tell how active their subscribers are.
I found a few thousand quite an achievement, and usually, I take numbers of 100K+ with a grain of salt (after three of four emails, I am sure they lie as the content is shallow.)
I'm afraid I have to disagree with overwhelmed inbox but with the quality of the content. Often I subscribe to some newsletter (or however they call their mail).
There is one particular issue here. Most people are looking for shortcuts with only money on their mind, and articles are shallow or about something obvious (for example, I found one article today describing a "deeper" meaning of logotypes and hidden parts of them.) Whoever saw any of them only once figured it out. It is an article written just to be written, nothing else, to fulfill the form of everyday writing.
Your article is concise from my point of view, and I had no problem paying for the content you provided me as it is at least on the level that your article is written.
I am glad I found your article today. Written in everyday language, about usual stuff depicting something that might look simple but has many levels that engaged me to join your list.
Keep up the excellent work.
