Will people not work in suites? In any kind and enterprise-level business, suites are mandatory, and no one will consider even talking to you without aligning to that unwritten rules. I understand some people are not used to wearing long-sleeved shirts, but that is something you cannot change. I don't remember a single meeting without a proper dress code.
